Hi, will be visiting NYC for christmas. I have a couple of questions 1) Is it worth it taking the NYC ferry during the winter, for the views and photos etc 2) Is it worth buying the USD 27.50 ticket 3) Which is the best cruise/route youd prefer for some1 who is visiting the NYC for the 1st time (one or more)?

Other poorer countries have passenger guard rails to prevent riders been pushed onto the tracks of oncoming trains, WHY can't all NYC stations have these??? What are the Dem$ politicians doing with our Tax money???? New Yorkers pay a hell of a amount of taxes for poor services and infrastructure.

I’ve used the app, FLUSH 🧻! Used it in US cities as well as Europe. Unfortunately didn’t know about the app in NYC and I bribed a CVS worker to use their employee bathroom when he told me their facilities were closed for maintenance! I told him I hope he bought his mom a nice Xmas gift with the $ he got from me! It was an emergency- bribing was my only recourse! Haha. My son said “mom we could have just gone across the street to Starbucks.” So I showed him he was wrong. Went in, even ordered coffee, but when I asked to use the restroom, they said it wasn’t available.

For restaurants I’ll give my favorite in each neighborhood along the 7, but there are so so so many 1. Flushing - Shanghai you garden (there are so many options lol - spicy palace is good, also flower and dessert is a little pricey but good) 2. East corona - Juquila is an absurdly good Mexican restaurant, highly recommend their mole oaxaqueño - for dessert maybe try Punto Ecuatoriano 3. Elmhurst - urubamba is great for Peruvian food, also great northern Thai food like Ayada and Khao Kang has good Thai desserts 4. Jackson heights - personally my favorite neighborhood esp cause of the open street, there’re the Fuschka food trucks, theres Phayul for Himalayan food - also good momos - like just do a whole Momo run when you get off the 74th st station there are 90 million options (my favorite is Nepali Bhanchha Ghat) 5. Woodside - little Manila, Renee’s is great 6. Sunny side - Rincón melania for Ecuadorian but there are many 7. Long Island city - tbh I consider this more Manhattan/brooklyn nowadays but that isn’t bad! And yes 10 years ago it was SO different but I don’t have a top recommendation… except Terry and yaki the food truck SO GOOD

Thanks for the video, very helpful indeed. I usually fly into JFK or LGA, but this time had to opt for EWR (after a long time not flying there)... I noticed that CoachUSA has a last bus out (from EWR to NYC) leaving at 10:45pm so for anyone flying late-ish, if miss that bus, you'd have to wait for the next one which is in the morning at 5:30am. So keep in mind that ExpressBus is not a great option if your flight lands at 9p or later since it could take a long while to get out of EWR... Just remember that landing time is when you plane's wheels have touched ground, not when your plane got to its arrival gate. Also consider that once you've arrived to the gate, you still have to deplane, the you need to pick up your luggage (if you travel with checked bags), then you have to clear customs for passport check, and that's why YMMV very wildly hence why I commented that (very optimistically perhaps) you could make it if your flight landed at or before 9p. Safe travels everyone! :)

Real question - can't they just use the existing tracks? it looks like there's a tunnel under whatever developed land exists today. Why even reroute OUT OF GRADE to begin with on 69th St, and 69th Pl? Is someone trying to troll us????

When I take the Q downtown from 86 St, there's a spot below the 72nd Street station just before the track curves right towards the 63 Street station where the tunnel widens out; there's a graffitied concrete wall on the left that will someday be demolished for a new track that will spur off the existing one and head south down 2nd Avenue -- Phase 3, which I suspect won't even start being built until *way* after I depart the scene
